# Artigo 12

Os eleitos recebem no tempo oportuno — ainda que em vários graus e diferentes modos — a certeza da sua eterna e imutá- vel eleição para a salvação. Eles, todavia, não a obtêm quando curiosamente investigam as coisas ocultas e profundas de Deus, mas quando observam em si mesmos, com alegria espiritual e santo deleite, os infalíveis frutos da eleição indicados na Pala- vra de Deus — como a fé verdadeira em Cristo, o temor filial a Deus, a piedosa tristeza pelos seus pecados, e a fome e a sede de justiça.
