E conforme Ele mesmo revelou em Sua Palavra, a Sua justiça exige que os nossos pecados, cometidos contra a Sua infinita majestade, sejam castigados não apenas nessa era, mas também na era porvir, tanto no corpo quanto na alma. Não podemos escapar desse castigo se a justiça de Deus não for satisfeita.
