# Artigo 11 Deus realiza o Seu beneplácito nos eleitos e opera neles a verdadeira conversão da seguinte maneira: Ele cuida para que o evangelho lhes seja pregado e ilumina poderosamente as suas mentes pelo Espírito Santo de sorte que possam compreender e discernir corretamente as coisas do Espírito de Deus. Pela operação eficaz do mesmo Espírito regenerador, Ele também penetra até os recantos mais íntimos do homem, abre os corações fechados e abranda os endurecidos, circuncida o que era incircunciso e infunde novas qualidades na vontade: faz viver a vontade outrora morta; a que era má, converte em boa; a indisposta, em solícita; a rebelde, em obediente. Ele muda e fortalece de tal maneira essa vontade que, assim como uma árvore boa, seja capaz de produzir o fruto das boas obras.
