# Artigo 14

A fé, portanto, é um dom de Deus, não porque é apenas oferecida por Deus ao livre-arbítrio do homem, mas porque é de fato conferida ao homem, implantada e infundida nele. Também não é um dom no sentido de que Deus confere apenas a capacidade para crer, e aguarda do livre-arbítrio do homem a autorização para crer ou o ato de crer. É, antes, um dom no sentido de que é Ele quem efetua no homem tanto o querer quanto o realizar; quem verdadeiramente faz tudo em todos; quem realiza no homem tanto a vontade de crer quanto o ato de crer.
