## **Pergunta 96. Que exige Deus no segundo mandamento?**

Resposta. Que não façamos a imagem de Deus em hipótese alguma,1 nem O adoremos de nenhum outro modo diferente do que nos ordenou em Sua Palavra.2\

## **Pergunta 97. Então, não podemos fazer nenhum tipo de imagem?**

Resposta. Deus não pode nem deve ser visivelmente representado de nenhuma maneira. As criaturas podem ser representadas, mas Deus nos proíbe fazer ou ter imagens delas para adorá-las ou para servir a Deus por meio delas.1\

## **Pergunta 98. Quer dizer que não se pode tolerar as imagens nas igrejas como “livros para os leigos”?**

Resposta. Não. Pois não devemos querer ser mais sábios do que o próprio Deus. Ele quer que o Seu povo seja ensinado não por meio de ídolos mudos1 mas pela pregação viva da Sua Palavra.2\
