# Artigo 25

## **Cristo, o cumprimento da lei.**

Cremos que as cerimônias e os símbolos da lei terminaram com a vinda de Cristo, e que todas as sombras foram cumpridas,1 de modo que o uso delas deve ser abolido entre os cristãos. Contudo, a verdade e a substância delas permanecem para nós em Jesus Cristo, em quem foram cumpridas.2\

No entanto ainda usamos os testemunhos tirados da Lei e dos Profetas, para nos confirmar nas doutrinas do Evangelho e para ordenarmos a nossa vida com toda honradez, conforme a vontade de Deus e para a Sua glória.3\
